The MSc Financial Technology course at the University of Birmingham has allowed me to specialise my computer science Foundations and gain both a theoretical and practical appreciation for fintech. The faculty has also been excellent in promoting industry exposure through hackathons and other events where I was able to engage in the wider fintech area. Altogether, this has helped me secure my upcoming role as an AMM ETF IT Strategist at BNP Paribas.
My experience in the MSc Financial Technology program at Birmingham was an invaluable experience that greatly deepened my understanding of finance and distributed ledger technology. The hands-on experience helped me develop a strong foundation in blockchain and data management in finance. The highlight of my journey was working on a live industry project as a web3 developer with the company ""Scotcoin Project CIC"", where I contributed to the company's mission of promoting ethical cryptocurrency and blockchain for all. I'm pleased to have been offered a position with the company following my work on this project.
