Yale University Press recognised Professor Moss’ unique expertise in the field of Theology
The Anchor Yale Bible series is one of the premiere collections of biblical scholarship in the world. Since it's beginning in 1956, the series now includes over 165 volumes of commentaries, topical studies, biographies, and academic monographs.
Professor Candida Moss, Edward Cadbury Professor of Theology in the Department of Theology and Religion, is set to replace the current editor, John J. Collins, in May 2025.
It is a great honor to be selected for this role. The Anchor Yale Bible series is one of the most important and prestigious Bible series in the world. At a time when religious and biblical literacy are more important than ever, series like this play a vital role in educating people about their traditions. I look forward to upholding the tradition of excellence for which the series is known and expanding its scope to meet the challenges of the twenty-first century.
Reacting to her appointment, Yale University Press’s Director John Donatich said: “I am elated that Candida Moss has agreed to shepherd the Anchor Yale Bible series in its next chapter. Candida brings to the series a sincere appreciation for the historic mission and legacy of the Anchor series, as well as a sense of creativity and innovation that will ensure that the series remains the vanguard of biblical scholarship for the next generation.”
