Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) and the University of Birmingham are developing a joint programme to provide students in China with the opportunity to receive degrees from both institutions.

The two universities are working on establishing dual bachelor's degrees in biomedical sciences and pharmacy – aiming to recruit the first cohort of students for 2025/26.

The programme being developed will give students in China the opportunity to achieve high-quality dual degrees on HUST’s new International Campus, in Wuhan, whilst experiencing the teaching and study methods used at the University of Birmingham.

University of Birmingham Vice Chancellor & Principal Professor Adam Tickell visited the HUST campus to celebrate the launch of the programme and to discuss progress with the preparations around the new campus development.
