CEDAR is pleased to announce an exciting new collaboration between its successful People, Power, Politics podcast and the prestigious Journal of Democracy (JoD). This collaboration raises CEDAR’s profile as a leading centre for the study of democracy and ensures even more great content for our podcast listener.

The Journal of Democracy is one of the most widely read and influential publications, with an extremely high impact factor and a history of sharing articles that have changed the way we think about democracy, authoritarianism, and everything in-between.

The new collaboration will take form of a new stream of podcast episodes based on recent JoD articles that will be published over the upcoming months. In September, we are featuring Dr Zoe Marks talking about her ‘African Popular Protest and Political Change’ JoD article. We also continue to feature the work of CEDAR and other leading researchers from around the world on a regular basis.

The collaboration comes on the back of the People, Power, Politics reaching another important milestone of 30,000 downloads. This significant achievement would not be possible without the work and support of many, including the College of Social Sciences and the School of Government, to whom we are ever grateful.
