The SMART Schools Study protocol is now published in BMJ Open.
The new protocol sets out how researchers will use mixed-methods with pupils, secondary school staff and parents from 30 schools in the UK to explore the impact of school daytime restrictions of smartphone and social media use on adolescent mental wellbeing, anxiety, depression, physical activity, sleep, classroom behaviour, attainment and addictive social media use.
