Move software suite license agreement renewed

The University of Birmingham has signed a renewed Academic Software Licence agreement of the Move software suite with Petroleum Experts Ltd.

The agreement, signed by the School of Geography Earth and Environmental Sciences announces means Move will continue to be available to students and academics at the University.

The agreement includes 10 licences and represents a donation of software with a market value of £1,872,218.26 by Petroleum Experts Ltd. The software is used for structural geology modelling and analysis and is used in the exploration for hydrocarbon, minerals and geothermal energy sources as well as a range of geological resources and raw materials and engineering applications. Continued use of Move software will support undergraduate teaching, undergraduate and postgraduate research and training and non-commercial research.
