On 2 October Birmingham Law School held its first formal networking reception for our extensive community of Law alumni based in Canada.
Professor Andrew Stockley, Pro-Vice-Chancellor and Head of the College of Arts and Law, Professor Aleksandra Cavoski, Professor of Environmental Law and College Director of Global Engagement, and Paul McConnell, Head of Global Engagement for Law, welcomed over 30 Law alumni at a reception at the University Club of Toronto.
Of the University’s alumni community in Canada, almost a quarter are Law graduates, so this event marks the beginning of a closer relationship between the University and its Law alumni in-country, and more widely, its graduate community across the nation.
The evening was also an occasion to publicly launch a new LinkedIn group for University of Birmingham Law alumni in Canada. This is a network for Birmingham Law School alumni, students, staff and friends. Please do join up, connect with each and remain in touch with the University.
Birmingham Law School is recognised in the Top 10 in the UK for research quality according to the Research Excellence Framework 2021 and in the Top 75 of global law schools according to the recent Times Higher Education’s World University Rankings 2023.
