On Saturday 10 June 2023, choral conductors, singers, and staff past and present will come together in the Elgar Concert Hall for a singalong day on Handel’s much-loved oratorio, Messiah. The MA Music: Choral Conducting programme was started by Professor Simon Halsey in September 2012.

Open to current and alumni students alike, the day will celebrate the unique place of the University in the pre-professional singing world and provide an opportunity for students and staff to reunite and reflect on over a decade of world-class singing; which has included world premieres, performances in collaboration with professional orchestras, multiple visits to the BBC Proms, and – most recently – a debut recording.
