Birmingham academics have successful trip to Korea

Professor Barbara Fawcett and Dr Kelly Hall have undertaken a very successful visit to South Korea on behalf of the School of Social Policy and the University.

Meeting with University agent in S.Korea

During their visit,  they have signed a third MOU with Seoul Metropolitan Government (SMG), who send a substantial number of senior government officials to the School of Social Policy. They also visited Gyeonggi-Do Provincial Government, the Ministry for Personnel Management, and the National Health Insurance Agency , all of whom send senior government officials to the School, particularly to the MA Policy into Practice course. Barbara and Kelly also undertook visits to University recruitment agents promoting all courses in the School and participated and presented at a two day UKEN fair in Gangnam Seoul. They gave an address at the Korean Development Institute, a major Social Policy HEI in South Korea and established collaborative research links with the School of Social Welfare at Seoul National University.
