Together with former BBC newsreader and TV news producer Barrie Redfern, John Goodyear created, edited and produced this radio package on his current research project on The Globe in Oldenburg.

The multifunctional theatre and cinema was built to entertain British service personnel after World War Two, and is now the only surviving one of its kind in Germany. Acting as the interviewer and voice-over, Goodyear goes on a tour of the Globe and meets members of the charitable trust set up to rescue, restore and renovate the Globe into a new local cultural centre. The radio package was broadcast from Germany on the monthly English-language internet radio programme The Expat Show on Sunday 29 April, 11:30am (CET).
