EPS Netball returned this year with a new spark of enthusiasm. We’re back to training on a weekly basis and playing in the Sunday mixed netball league. This team brings together students from across the Schools in EPS from Physics to Chemical Engineering and we’re definitely growing!
Our training sessions offer a way to work out and de-stress with likeminded, hardworking scientists and engineers. Our training includes lots of different fitness activities, drills and match play.
The year kicked off with a 13-11 win against the materials science team. Despite only having an all defence team we were able to win a few matches so we were off to a great start! Our biggest win against the Medics 3’s which we won 21-11. Overall the team finished 7th in the league which is a great achievement from everyone who joined the team this year! Plus, the team were finally able to organise our first sports night social.
This year has been a great foundation us to build upon and grow in the forthcoming years. We’re on the up and please nominate us for an EPS Societies’ Award!
