Congratulations to Helen Cooper’s lab for a new publication in the Journal of Proteome Research
Dried blood spots hold great promise for the identification of disease biomarkers. However, proteomic analyses of dried blood spots has been a challenge for researchers. Helen Cooper’s lab have now reported a breakthrough in this area by coupling high field asymmetric waveform ion mobility spectrometry (FAIMS) with liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry (LC–MS/MS). The total number of proteins identified improved by as much as 50% with this new approach.
