2018 Placement Fair

Each year a Placement Fair is held jointly with the Coventry and Warwick Clinical Psychology course where NHS and third sector placement providers can meet with clinical psychology trainees and showcase placement opportunities available in their team or wider organisation. This year the fair was held at Coventry Technocentre on Wednesday 28 February.

Feedback from the event has been very positive with trainees and supervisors alike finding this an invaluable networking opportunity as well as a useful space for trainees to shape their learning journey through training.

• “I really enjoyed meeting other supervisors, trainees and those I had worked with previously, telling them about what we could offer on placement, and finding out more about their interests.”
• “There was a definite positive ‘buzz’ about the fair, with lots of discussions going on. For those that stopped at our stand, some really lovely interest was shown in our service and what we had to say and we both found it a positive experience.”
• “Really enjoyable. Good networking opportunity; we don’t have enough opportunities to network with our psychology colleagues.”

Thanks go to all those involved in organising the event as well as the Trainees and Supervisors who braved the Icy weather conditions, coming in some cases as far afield as Hereford! We look forward to hosting this event next Spring at Birmingham.
