27 June saw the launch at the Enitharmon bookshop in London of Writing the Real: A Bilingual Anthology of Contemporary French Poetry (Enitharmon, 2016), co-edited by Emma Wagstaff from Modern Languages and Nina Parish of the University of Bath.

The editors read their translations, and the event included a reading by poet and translator Susan Wicks of her translation of poems by Michèle Métail.

Two short pieces by Emma Wagstaff also recently appeared in the catalogue for the Alberto Giacometti exhibition at Tate Modern: the articles present Giacometti’s engagement with poets and with the philosopher Jean-Paul Sartre. The exhibition runs until 10 September 2017.
