B-Film research centre holds book launch

The event took place in The Electric Cinema in Birmingham.

The B-Film research centre, co-directed by Professor Rob Stone (FCW) and Dr Andrew Watts (ML) recently held its major launch of The Routledge Companion To World Cinema and the new Routledge series Remapping World Cinema (and the first book in that series Middlebrow Cinema) in The Electric Cinema in Birmingham.

The event featured a packed cinema, a guest lecture by Professor Sally Faulkner of Exeter, editor of Middlebrow Cinema, and a screening of the film All About My Mother.  The Routledge Companion To World Cinema and the book series is co-edited by Professor Rob Stone of Film and Creative Writing with Professor Paul Cooke (Leeds, Professor Stephanie Dennison (Leeds) and Dr Alex Marlow-Mann (Kent) and The Companion to World Cinema includes chapters by professor Stone, Dr James Walters of Film and Creative Writing, and Dr Kate Ince of Modern Languages.
