Unpacking a Rapidly Changing Scenario is the first briefing paper of the ESRC-funded 'Unravelling the migration crisis (MEDMIG)' project co-led by IRiS Dr Nando Sigona.

The project is a collaboration between the Universities of Birmingham, Coventry (lead) and Oxford, with four international partners in Greece, Italy, Turkey and Malta. The brief presents some initial findings from interviews with 500 migrants and 100 stakeholders in four countries exploring migration flows, routes and trajectories across the Mediterranean and the impact of policy on arrivals and deaths at sea.
