At the British Endocrinology Society annual conference this month,  Prof Gareth Lavery was awarded the highly coveted  Starling Medal

This accolade, granted by The Society for Endocrinology, honours  a basic, clinical or translational scientist for their outstanding research. Awarded annually to a member, the Starling Medal, named after Ernest Henry Starling, a reknowned British physiologist,recognises individuals whose work has contributed to exceptional scientific advances in the field of endocrinology where the majority of their work has been carried out in the UK or Ireland.

The recipient of the award gives a lecture at the SfE BES.
