Congratulations to PhD student Mat Schofield, who has won the University Graduate School "Three Minute Thesis" research presentation competition. Ten finalists, from an original cohort of 90 applicants from across the University, had just three minutes to deliver an engaging presentation on their thesis topic, its originality and its significance.
Mat, who is a member of the HiROS group, presented his research on making predictions of the capabilities of the upcoming NASA TESS Mission to perform asteroseismology of Sun-like stars in our local solar neighbourhood.
Mat now goes forward to the national competition.
