Dr Adam Ledger has been awarded an Arts Council England Grant, for the project ‘Where’s My Igloo Gone?’.

Dr Ledger has been successful in securing a large Arts Council England grant to finish creating and touring his current theatre production, Where’s My Igloo Gone? The performance and installation project centres around the themes of climate change and home, engaging audiences with environmental issues in a positive and refreshing way.

Drawing on interdisciplinary practice, the production will weave scientific knowledge into a compelling narrative, with interactive activities and live music that will be suitable for English as an additional language and deaf audiences. The project will be working with key partners in and around Birmingham, including the Arena Theatre (Wolverhampton) and mac birmingham, and will be touring other regional venues throughout December 2016.

Awarded £15,000, this is the second Arts Council grant for this project, which has also secured a further £25,000 from a number of internal and external sources. The 18-month project started in September 2015.
