A resource developed by members of the Cerebra Centre for Neurodevelopmental Disorders together with the charity Cerebra was awarded ‘highly commended’ at the British Medical Association (BMA) Patient Information Awards 2016.
‘Cerebra Anxiety Guide: A guide for parents’ was developed by the Centre’s Dr Jane Waite, Dr Hayley Crawford, Rachel Royston and Professor Chris Oliver in collaboration with Cerebra, to give up to date information on how to spot the signs of anxiety and anxiety disorders in children with neurodevelopmental disorders, and how to assess and manage anxiety.
The patient information awards are held each year by the British Medical Association and are aimed at encouraging accessible, well-designed and high quality patient information.
The awards took place at the BMA House in London on 12 September 2016.
