Over the last year TSRC has been a member of the Independent Commission on the future of local infrastructure, chaired by Sara Llewellin, Chief Executive of the Barrow Cadbury Trust, and supported by NAVCA - the National Association for Voluntary and Community Action. TSRC Research Fellow Rob Macmillan was one of 20 commissioners from the statutory, private and voluntary sector, assessing evidence and debating the future of local voluntary sector infrastructure. The main recommendation arising from the Commission's work is that local infrastructure needs to be redesigned and creatively resourced to meet emerging challenges.

The final report - 'Change for Good' was launched at the House of Commons on 20 January 2015, at a reception involving speeches by MPs Nick Hurd, former Minister for Civil Society, Rob Wilson, the current Minister for Civil Society, and Lisa Nandy, the shadow Minister for Civil Society.
