Doctoral researcher's paper focuses on children's homes in Latin America

PhD student Manuela Garcia Quiroga has published a paper on the subject of children's homes and foster care around the world, with a special focus on Latin America.

The paper, which appeared in prestigious international journal Child and Youth Services Review, found that care systems vary widely between countries.

Titled In the name of the Children: Public Policies for Children in out-of-home care in Chile. Historical review, present situation and future challenges, Manuela’s article also explored the implications of her findings for practice and research.
