Three more students have received financial support from the Bill Willetts Science Scholarship as the award moves into its second year. Benjamin Giblin, George Morton, and Sara Ali have each participated in project work this summer, thanks to the travel bursary. Competition for the bursary was fierce this year, with over 20 applications from students across the college covering a diverse range of projects. George is visiting a cement plant in Tanzania to find out about the running of the plant and their projects in alternative fuel, while Sara is working with Atkins’ Rail Team in Qatar. Benjamin stayed closer to home during his project work at the University of Surrey, where he helped to investigate the role of Active Galactic Nuclei in the evolution of galaxies.
