University of Birmingham ranked among top 10 for producing millionaires

University of Birmingham has been ranked among top 10 UK universities for producing millionaires.

Research by investment firm Skandia highlights that 2.7 per cent of the UK’s millionaires went to University of Birmingham. We are 7th in the UK in terms of producing millionaires.

The independent survey of 549 millionaires and multi-millionaires, which recently featured in The Telegraph, also revealed that 65 per cent of those interviewed went to university, with a third qualifying with a Masters degree. The survey also highlights that 71 per cent of UK based millionaires attended state school.

Both the University of Birmingham and Aston University are featured in the list; placing two West Midlands universities in the top 10. Others on the list include Oxford, Cambridge, St Andrews, Imperial, Manchester and Bristol.
