Institution of Structural Engineers, Midland Counties, branch winner – Prathan Rungthonkit does it again!
Prathan Rungthonkit, a PhD research student under the supervision of Dr Jimmy Yang, has won the Institution of Structural Engineers, Midland Counties Branch, Regional Structural Engineering Awards (2011) through his research on “Behaviour of Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs) under combined axial and transverse loadings”.
The award was announced and a plaque was presented at the Branch Annual Dinner on 23rd June 2011 by the President of IStructE, Professor Roger Plank. This is the second year running that Prathan has won the award and we congratulate him and Dr Yang for their expertise and success.
Prathan is soon to complete his PhD, after which he will resume his industrial civil engineering career with major civil engineering company, Amey.
