Shadow Development MP Andrew Mitchell Visits University

The Shadow Secretary of State for International Development, Andrew Mitchell MP, will visit the University of Birmingham tomorrow.

The Shadow Secretary of State for International Development, Andrew Mitchell MP, will visit the University of Birmingham tomorrow.

The MP will meet Dr Mike Hubbard of the International Development Department who will be speaking about issues likely to be addressed in his upcoming conference Aiding the Poorest: Ten Years on from the Birmingham G8.

The conference on May 18th - 10 years to the day from the 1998 G8 meeting – will take place as part of the City’s weekend of activities celebrating achievements since the Birmingham G8 and highlighting the further challenges that have arisen.

Prior to meeting Dr Hubbard, Andrew Mitchell will meet academics at the University who are leading pioneering projects involving hydrogen. He will visit the recently launched Hydrogen fuelling station as well as the hydrogen cab and hydrogen barge.
