Relocation

Some roles may be eligible for support to help relocate to Birmingham. This will be confirmed in the offer of appointment.

Eligible staff will receive both financial and practical support to make the move to Birmingham as smooth as possible. We have partnered with a relocation company who will provide tailored support to you and your family for the first 12 months of your employment. They aim to take the pain and hassle out of relocating and will manage your expenses in a simple and flexible way.

Some roles may also be eligible for reimbursement of immigration-related costs. If you are new to the University, and living outside of the UK before taking up a new appointment at Grade 8 or above, you may be eligible to claim back the cost of your visa and your Immigration Healthcare Surcharge (IHS) for up to three years.

All staff with a remaining contract duration of 12 months are eligible to apply for an interest-free loan up to £10,000 to cover relocation and immigration related costs.
