It supports public-private partnerships that bring together industry, research organizations, and public authorities to pool resources and expertise. Ambitious research and innovation programmes aim to achieve outcomes in pursuit of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The Horizon Europe budget allocates more than €58 billion for pillar II, which focuses on six clusters:

  • Health;
  • Culture, Creativity and Inclusive Society;
  • Digital Industry and Space;
  • Climate, Energy and Mobility;
  • Food, Bioeconomy, Natural Resources, Agriculture and Environment
