New Generation Solid Oxide Fuel Cells (NewGenSOFC)
Industry-Academia Collaboration
About us
New Generation Solid Oxide Fuel Cells (NewGenSOFC) is a four year EU funded project running between January 1 2014 and December 31 2017.
The overall aim of this project is to achieve low-cost engineering solutions for the commercialisation of microtubular solid oxide fuel cell (mSOFC) technology.
NewGenSOFC is an Industry-Academia Partnership and Pathways project funded under the European Commission’s FP7 Marie Curie programme coordinated by the University of Birmingham.

Industry-Academia Collaboration
We are developing a new teaching programme and dedicated resources in NewGenSOFC, to support training related to fuel cell technology development and application.
The programme focuses on the materials used in the development, manufacture and optimisation of fuel cells being built today.

Adelan Technology
Adelan is a small fuel cell company that develops microtubular solid oxide fuel cell (mSOFC) technology to incorporate into different products.
Potential applications of the technology range from micro combined heat and power (mCHP) in buildings, through auxiliary power units (APUs) for vehicles, to micro stationary and portable systems.
