You will develop expertise in designing and developing robotic systems integrated with AI, equipping you for leadership roles in industry or academia. Tackle complex engineering challenges and drive growth in an ever-evolving technological landscape.
Course structure
This course will run over three years full-time, comprising of lectures, tutorials, assignments, laboratory work, quizzes and project-work, collaboratively supervised by research-led academics and industry engineers.
In Year One, you will develop a strong foundation in robotics, programming, and engineering. Gain essential skills in computing, mechanics, electrical engineering, and mathematics.
Hands-on Integrated Design Projects let you apply theory to real-world challenges, while Artificial Intelligence 1 introduces intelligent systems, preparing you for advanced robotics applications.

Entry requirements
To secure your place at the University of Birmingham Dubai, you must meet both our general entry requirements and the specific criteria for your chosen course. Your application will be carefully reviewed by the course’s Admissions Tutor, who will determine if you will receive an offer.

AAB - ABB 3 A Levels. Typical offer AAB - ABB including Mathematics.
- IB
6,6,5 - 6,5,5 at Higher Level to include 6 in Mathematics with a minimum of 32 points overall.
English language requirements
In order to undertake a programme of study here at the University, you will need to demonstrate that you have a good level of written and spoken English. You can demonstrate your level of English with IELTS/TOEFL/PTE or alternative qualifications.

The University tuition fee covers the cost of your tuition, examination and graduation.

Paying your tuition fees
We charge an annual tuition fee (per year of study). The tuition fee will also be payable in subsequent years of your programme.
Tuition fees can be paid in full or in three instalments per year of study.
