The careers services aided me in finding a three-month internship at Grant Thornton, which has been very beneficial for my career development. There are many placements for students and networking opportunities that are available through the Careers Network Dubai.

Enhance your studies, gain new perspectives, immerse yourself in different cultures, and develop valuable transferable skills for your career.
Study at our UK campus
Undergraduate students on eligible programmes can spend their second year at our beautiful Edgbaston campus. The campus is just minutes from the hustle and bustle of Birmingham, the UK’s vibrant second city.
Virtual internships
Get experience without having to leave campus.
Our virtual internships are remote placements with real companies. Working on genuine projects, you’ll be given project tasks by a national or international employer. Rather than work at their location, you’ll work remotely or virtually.
The Careers Network Dubai is amazing! Coming to Dubai, I wasn’t sure how many opportunities I’d have to try out internships in various fields, but in just my first year I’ve taken part in two.
The Birmingham Dubai Award
The Birmingham Dubai Award is a skills award endorsed by our employer supporters and is open to our undergraduate students. It helps you develop and show the transferable skills you develop from activities outside your studies, both on and off campus, in preparation for real-world recruitment processes.
Benefits of the award include recognition on your degree transcript, gaining support and feedback in articulating your skills to graduate recruiters and receiving a digital certificate when you finish enhancing your CV and LinkedIn profile.
