Course overview
Develop and lead sustainable health systems with the MSc Global Health System Leadership. Hone the skills to drive healthcare innovation, policy, and practice on a global scale.
The MSc Global Health System Leadership course empowers leaders to build resilient healthcare systems, equipping them with the skills and global perspective needed to drive innovation, influence policy, and create sustainable, equitable healthcare solutions worldwide.
This programme is accredited by the United Arab Emirates Ministry of Education.
This course will run over 12 months in a full-time-mode or 24 months in a part-time mode.
In the first semester, you’ll gain a comprehensive understanding of global health systems and policies, learning to critically analyse and evaluate them across various settings. You’ll develop leadership and management skills and create health system strengthening interventions using implementation science. The programme is taught by experienced academics from the School of Social Policy, ensuring a research-led learning experience.

Entry requirements
To secure your place at the University of Birmingham Dubai, you must meet both our general entry requirements and the specific criteria for your chosen course. Your application will be carefully reviewed by the course’s Admissions Tutor, who will determine if you will receive an offer.
Our standard requirements
- An Honours degree in a medical or health field of practice
- Current professional registration in country of practice
- Evidence of continuing professional development that shows your ability to study at master’s level
- Preferably at least 12 months of experience post-qualification
English language requirements
In order to undertake a programme of study here at the University, you will need to demonstrate that you have a good level of written and spoken English. You can demonstrate your level of English with IELTS/TOEFL/PTE or alternative qualifications.
Fees and scholarships
The University tuition fee covers the cost of your tuition, examination and graduation.
