Our Dubai campus offers access to over 3,000 subject-matter experts across five colleges and more than 100 research centres, with extensive partnerships that span all continents. We take pride in our award-winning approach to business collaboration, with dedicated account management teams, many from industry, and innovative strategies for partnerships, IP, licensing, and consultancy.

Birmingham academics collaborate with businesses through meaningful knowledge exchange activities, generating £885M for the economy annually. Every £1 million invested in our research results in an additional £5 million in economic output.

    RTA Transportation Research and Innovation Pavilion

    The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has opened their Transportation Research and Innovation Pavilion (TRIP) on campus, driving innovation and supporting the next generation of UAE transport engineers.

RTA Innovation and R&D Centre at University of Birmingham Dubai is an important milestone in RTA’s 'Innovation Roadmap’ as it will not only provide tools and resources to enhance the culture of Innovation and experimentation at RTA, but it will also allow RTA to effectively engage with its external ecosystem.

    UAE’s National Programme for Artificial Intelligence

    The University of Birmingham Dubai launched the fifth cohort of the United Arab Emirates' Artificial Intelligence Programme. This initiative was in partnership with the Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and the Prime Minister's Office - UAE under the sponsorship of His Excellency Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence.

    The five-week programme concluded with a week at our Edgbaston campus in September, providing specialised training that enhanced participants' expertise in AI and the latest developments in generative AI.
