Food Fellows

Food Fellows are responsible for the food and drink offer on campus. Whether we’re sourcing, preparing or serving our food, we do so as a team committed to delivering the highest standards. We’re proud to work at the University of Birmingham and showcase this in the care and attention we bring to providing stand-out experiences for everyone on campus.

Feeding change

We know how tough it is for many of you with the rising cost of living. That’s why the Food Fellows team has been busy cooking up new ways to help you enjoy the food and drink you love on campus, for less.

Micro markets

We’re making it easier for you to prepare your own food and drinks on campus with micro-markets, vending machines with in-built microwaves and hot taps.

Meal deals

You can now grab a sandwich, snack, and a drink for just £4.75 – and for a little extra you can upgrade to a hot panini. Looking for a cheap meal? You can buy hot pasta and a topping for just £3.95 at Penny’s Café and Gisbert Kapp.

Too Good to Go

Download the free Too Good to Go app and bag yourself a ‘Magic Bag’, full of food that would otherwise go to waste, at a great price. Too Good to Go is now available for collection from nine outlets: The Exchange Café, Winterbourne Terrace Tearoom, Muirhead Café, Library Café, Costa at Sport & Fitness, Alan Walters Café, Costa in University Centre, Café 1902, and Med School Café.

Student Living Plus

If you’re in catered University accommodation, you can benefit from 10% off all food and drink (excluding alcohol) at Student Living Plus outlets.

More choice

You can now choose a small or big salad bowl at our deli counters, so you don’t need to buy more than you need.
