How to find us

Birmingham Research Park is four miles from Birmingham city centre, adjacent to the University of Birmingham campus and the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

Birmingham Research Park is building B6 on the University of Birmingham campus map. The BioHub is building B11.

On arrival

Head to the Park reception which is in the grey brick BioHub building directly opposite the entrance barriers. Reception staff will contact your host to let them know you have arrived.

If you already know the location of your host, you can contact them directly. If you have driven to the Park you must provide reception staff at the BioHub with your vehicle registration number as soon as you arrive.

How to get to us

Train

The easiest way to get to the Birmingham Research Park is by train to University station. Trains to University station leave Birmingham New Street every 5-20 minutes.

Exit University station following the signs for Birmingham Medical School and NHS Services. After exiting the station, turn right and follow the footpath past the NHS Blood and Transplant Centre and the ICT Centre on your right. The entrance to Birmingham Research Park is on the right. 

Sign in at the Birmingham Research Park reception, which is in the grey brick BioHub building.

Bus

When travelling from Birmingham City Centre, bus numbers X21 and X22 stop at the University stop on Vincent Drive and the NHS Blood and Transplant centre which is next to Birmingham Research Park. Bus 48 stops on Farquhar Road which is a 2 minute walk to Birmingham Research Park. 

Sign in at the Birmingham Research Park reception, which is in the grey brick BioHub building.

Buses from all over the city also stop at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Interchange, which is nearby.

Car

If you are using Satnav, please use the postal address – 97 Vincent Drive - as your destination. The postcode alone covers a wide area and Vincent Drive is a long road.

Birmingham Research Park is accessible via the A38. Follow the signs to Selly Oak and exit at the sign for the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

After exiting the A38, follow signs to ‘NHS Blood and Transplant’, go straight on at the first roundabout, and then past the Hospital on your left (University train station will be on your right). The road you are now on is Vincent Drive and the Birmingham Research Park is on the right after the NHS Blood and Transplant building.

Please sign yourself and your car in at the Birmingham Research Park reception, which is in the grey brick BioHub building.

Air

The nearest airport is Birmingham International (BHX). The journey by taxi from the airport takes approximately half an hour. Alternatively, Air-Rail Link provides a free, fast connection between the airport terminals and Birmingham International train station.

Birmingham International train station has frequent services to New Street station in the city centre. From New Street station there are trains every 5-20 minutes to University station.

Accessibility and access

All Birmingham Research Park site and building entrances have Disability Discrimination Act 1995 (DDA) compliant access. Main building entrances have power-assisted doors and there are passenger lifts to all floors.
