Fully serviced biomedical incubator and accelerator
The BioHub is a purpose-built biomedical incubator, with high calibre shared laboratory and single-occupancy office/laboratory suites, designed to grow biomedical companies from proof of concept through to expansion.
Our shared laboratory users join a community of biomedical companies, on bespoke, flexible terms with flat monthly fees, and easy access to a breadth of potential academic and clinical collaborators at the nearby hospitals, medical school and University.
The suites provide grow-on space, and when companies expand further, they can graduate to the Precision Health Technology Accelerator.
Application criteria
Applicants should be a commercial entity (a limited company or sole trader) and working in the life-sciences sector. Users of the facility should be competent scientists with knowledge and experience of working in a lab environment, and associated health and safety requirements.

BioHub tenants are supported by full-time, experienced laboratory staff led by Senior Laboratory Manager Dr Litchfield, who can arrange access to expertise, services and equipment from the University of Birmingham. The reception desk is staffed from 8.00am to 5.00pm by the reception team.
