    Autumn fair

    The Autumn Fair is a Careers Fair exclusive to University of Birmingham students and recent graduates. The event provides an excellent opportunity for recruiters interested in promoting graduate and work experience opportunities in all industry sectors for 2025. We welcome organisations of all sizes, from global corporations and large multinationals to regional and national SMEs. Recruiters can access our large, diverse student community by meeting them in person, in our prestigious Great Hall on our Edgbaston Campus. The fair provides an opportunity for our students and graduates to learn about different career opportunities and network with potential employers to explore graduate and work experience opportunities.

Date and location

The fair will be held on Wednesday 9 October 2024, 11am-3pm, in the Great Hall at University of Birmingham.

Student attendance

We encourage all University of Birmingham students, home and international students studying both undergraduate and postgraduate (Master’s and PhD) degrees, as well as recent graduates to attend the fair. This includes students and recent graduates of all colleges, from all year groups and at all stages of their career journey.

    STEM Fair

    The STEM Fair is a Careers Fair exclusive to University of Birmingham students and recent graduates. The fair provides an opportunity for our students and graduates to learn about different career opportunities and network with potential employers to explore graduate and work experience opportunities.

The fair will be held on Wednesday 16 October 2024, 11am-3pm, in the Great Hall at University of Birmingham.

Student attendance

The STEM Fair primarily attracts students from the School of Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biological Sciences, Psychology, Sport & Exercise and Geography. However, we encourage all University of Birmingham students, home and international students studying both undergraduate and postgraduate (Master’s and PhD) degrees, as well as recent graduates to attend the fair. This includes students and recent graduates of all colleges, from all year groups and at all stages of their career journey.

University of Birmingham undergraduate students are surveyed at the beginning of every year on their career interests. The 2023/24 data showed 74% of our students were interested in a career in a STEM sector.

However, we encourage all University of Birmingham students, home and international students studying both undergraduate and postgraduate (Master’s and PhD) degrees, as well as recent graduates to attend the fair. This includes students and recent graduates of all colleges, from all year groups and at all stages of their career journey.

    Law Fair

    The University of Birmingham Law Fair is a careers fair exclusive to our students and recent graduates. The event provides an excellent opportunity for firms and chambers interested in promoting training contracts, pupillages and vacation schemes. We welcome firms and chambers of all sizes, from international, corporate firms to regional practices. Recruiters can access our large, diverse student community by meeting them in person, in our prestigious Great Hall on our Edgbaston Campus. The fair provides an opportunity for our students and graduates to learn about their career options with in the legal sector, and network with firms and chambers to explore these possibilities.

Which companies can exhibit at the fair?

The fair is open to law firms and barristers' chambers of all sizes. Small and medium sized firms are welcome. This event is an excellent way to raise your firm's profile on campus and promote your vacation schemes and training contracts.

The fair will be held on Wednesday 13 November 2024, in the Great Hall at University of Birmingham.

Student attendance

University of Birmingham undergraduates, postgraduates (Master’s and PhD), international students and recent graduates of all degree disciplines, but primarily Law students. University of Birmingham Career Registration data 2023/24 shows 34% of students studying within the College of Arts and Law are interested in pursuing a legal career.
