Birmingham’s Arri Coomarasamy, Professor of Gynaecology and Reproductive Medicine and Shakila Thangaratinam, Professor of Maternal and Perinatal Health will be joined by Dr Mercedes Bonet, Maternal Health Team, WHO’s Department of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Research (Geneva, Switzerland), for a discussion on global maternal health.
The event, hosted by Professor Alice Roberts, Professor of Public Engagement in Science, will look at how their research is helping prevent maternal mortality in low and middle-income countries around the world.
Learn about the simple and effective package of care that helps healthcare practitioners attending the birth to diagnose bleeding early and treat women quickly, which can save lives. No prior knowledge of the subject is required.
