Hong Kong students at Birmingham Law School

Birmingham Law School has a vibrant student community from Hong Kong currently studying a range of our LLB, LLM and research degree programmes.

England and Hong Kong share a Common Law heritage and Birmingham Law School has a long history of welcoming students from Hong Kong.

The UK has traditionally trained the leading lawyers working in Hong Kong and many of our former students return to Hong Kong to enjoy successful legal careers. The most notable of these is Mr Justice Geoffrey Ma Tao-Li, former Chief Justice of the High Court in Hong Kong, who graduated from the LLB programme at Birmingham in 1977.
