  • Corpus Linguistics Workshop

Speaker: Dr Johan de Joode

This workshop will introduce you to the most recent feature of CLiC: user-defined annotation. CLiC’s annotation component can be used to support the classification of linguistic features and specific patterns in a corpus of fiction. With exercises that are designed for the study of 19th century fiction we will introduce you to options of adding information to corpus outputs and generating specific frequency information that can support the analysis of literary texts.

Attendance of workshop 1 is not a requirement for the attendance of this workshop. You do not need any specific background for this session.

For more information visit the CLiC project website.

Venue: Arts Building, Room 228 (second floor)
