Students who have graduated from the University of Birmingham Dubai are able to apply for the Alumni Scholarship if studying at the Birmingham campus or an online degree offered by the Birmingham campus.

When will I hear if I have been successful?
After the successful applications have been confirmed, a scholarship awarding email will be sent to awardees. Successful awardees do not need to accept the scholarship as it will be automatically applied once Online Registration has been completed in September or October 2025.
Students who are made a reserve will be notified of their reserve status, and their application will automatically be carried over into the second round; reserve candidates do not need to re-apply. Reserve candidates will then be reviewed in the following round and updated with the outcome of their application at the deadline.
Although we endeavour to keep you informed of scholarship updates, if you have not been contacted by the timeframes outlined in the above paragraph or by your course's start date, it may be the unfortunate case that your application has been unsuccessful.

Additional information
Additional information
- You must apply by completing the above form; the Alumni Scholarship is not automatically applied to your account.
- The award can be held in conjunction with any other University-funded scholarship or other discount, such as the Birmingham Masters Scholarship. Students with funding from an external organisation are also eligible for the fee discount.
- Full-time, part-time and distance learning postgraduate taught programmes qualify.
- Students who are enrolled on an eligible course and charged fees on a modular basis can still apply for the Alumni Scholarship.
- Part-time programmes will have the fee reduction applied, in full, in the first year of the course only. For example, a two year degree would have £2,000 reduction for the first year of study and the second year would be the full tuition cost. This means the fee reduction is not applied pro-rata and is only applied to the tuition fees for the academic year 2025/26.
