Rapid re-colonisation of river after extreme flood event

After being virtually wiped out during a flood in 2005 in Wolf Point Creek, Alaska, salmon, meiofauna and most macroinvertebrates all re-colonised within two years, according to research published by University of Birmingham environmental scientists in the journal Nature Climate Change today (2 Sept 2012).
