House of Lords Reception

Join us for the fifteenth annual reception at the House of Lords which will take place on Friday 9 November from 6.45pm to 8.30pm.

The reception will be hosted by the University's Chancellor, Lord Bilimoria of Chelsea.  Wine and canapés will be served in the Cholmondeley Room and Terrace, which overlook the River Thames and offer stunning views of London. The evening is a great opportunity to meet up with old friends, talk to some of our current students about their Birmingham experience, and to catch up with the latest University news.

Alumni and friends are also invited to take a private tour of the chambers of the Houses of Lords and Commons.  The tours are a popular part of the reception and are led by lively and interesting guides who have a thorough knowledge of the history and workings of Parliament. These tours will begin at 8.00pm. 

Tickets for the tour and reception cost £60 per person.  This is a non-profit event for the University and the ticket price is fully redeemed against the cost of the event.  Due to the popularity of this event, tickets will be restricted to two per person.
